At the end of last year I was looking to replace my car.
Nothing fancy you understand…
…I’m not one of those marketers who tries to impress people with a flashy car.
I just wanted something a little newer and something that can get me around safely.
However what I know about cars can be written on a stamp that already has my weekly shopping list on it!
I therefore use the help of others to guide me in the right direction.
…And it is a good job I did.
I have seen two different motors that tickled my fancy.
They got past my wife’s ‘is it practical enough?’ criteria – i.e. can we get both of us and the two kids in as well.
So, having communicated with the sellers I arranged to invest in a pre-purchase inspection.
And do you know I’m glad I did!
BOTH had been involved in an accident and have been written off by the insurance company!
If I had not invested in that help and listened to what they found I would be seriously out of pocket at this moment in time!
Although it amazes me that people can be like that, they are out there.
This applies just as much (if not more) in the online world.
There are many of us principled individuals out there, trying to make a living by helping others…
…but there are also the ar*eholes who would sell their granny for a few quid.
So the moral of this mail today…
Make sure you do your due diligence and try to tap into and use the knowledge of others you can trust.
In the end this is YOUR business, you get all the rewards, BUT you also face the issues…
…you have no one else to blame but yourself…
…there is no nanny state online…
…and I personally wouldn’t have it any other way.

Affordable Mentoring Newsletter: This is a monthly newsletter created by Tony Shepherd. However to descrivbe it as just a newsletter is underselling it so much.
Tony personally writes each month about practical ways that either he , marketing friends or mentoring students use to move their business on and increase the income they generate. The key point is that this isn’t theory about what could make money, it is practical stuff that has made money.
I have been a member since it first began, getting on 5 years ago now, and there isn’t a month goes by where I don’t get something out of the newsetter. I don’t think it would be an exageration to say it has played the biggest role in getting me to where I am today. I urge you to try it out, especially as he gives away a free edition upfront to allow you to see for yourself what it provides.

Click Boss: I must stress this is a bit more of an investment and not required if you are just starting out. That said, if you are getting involved in solo ads, ad swaps or click banking, this is one of the best most cost effective solutions I have found. I use it and love it.
The software is very powerful and allows you to track your links; who is clicking it, where they are clicking it from etc. It allows you the ability to rotate your links. It also lets you check conversion rates and do split testing. It might not be for when you are starting out, but it is for when you decide to take your online business seriously.
I highly recommended it.
