I think anyone who has been around Internet Marketing for any length of time will know that building a list and then sending emails is the way to go.
But as ever the devil is in the detail.
It doesn’t matter if you have 10’s or 10’s thousands of subscribers, if they are not opening and reading your emails, you are not going to be making a bean.
So how do you get people to open your emails?
Ultimately, the most important thing is the rapport and relationship you build with your readers.
If people know/like/trust you, there is no better way to get your emails opened.
But let’s tackle the elephant in the room with this…
…how the hell do you build that relationship if they are not opening your emails and reading your relationship building emails?
It’s a Catch 22 situation.
A ‘chicken and egg’ situation.
Subscribers will open and read your emails if you have built a relationship with them…
…but you need people to open and read your emails to be able to build a relationship with them!
So what is the answer?
Well, the next biggest factor in getting your emails open (after your relationship with your readers) are your subject lines.
These are the ‘shop windows’ to attract people into your emails.
And this is ever more true as your subscribers’ inboxes become more and more cluttered.
So to help you with this vital aspect of email marketing, I have been doing a bit of analysis on your behalf.
I did’t want to just give you some theory I think might work.
Instead I wanted to take what HAS worked and then analyse exactly WHY it worked.
With that in mind, I looked at all the emails I sent out last year (over 250) and identified the top 10 emails in terms of opens.
I then identified the exact reason it proved so successful in getting people to open and read the email.
This information is extremely powerful and therefore I recognised that it could help most (if not all) marketers who are using, or planning to use emails in their marketing efforts.
The upshot of this is I created a report documenting my findings and my explanation for why the subject lines were so powerful in getting people to take action.
Whether you just want the subject lines themselves to use on your own emails…
…or you are keen to understand the concepts behind the success of the subject lines, so that you can incorporate those principles yourself, you can download my report by clicking the link below…
