Sometimes even politicians can talk sense.
Apparently it was Calvin Coolidge who wrote the following:
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Boy did he get it right in terms of finding success online.
Forget what you read on all the sales pages. Unless you are very lucky you aren’t going to become an overnight online success.
Most marketers will take a pretty winding route to success…
…two steps forward followed by one back.
Many get off the path well before they see the success they believe they deserve.
However for those who are prepared to stick at it with determination and a will to succeed often find that success seems to just sneak up on them when they weren’t looking.
It’s very easy to get disillusioned when everything you touch seems to go pear shaped…I know I have been there on more than one occasion!
However keep doing the right things EVERY day: building a list, communicating with that list, creating useful products…and things always turn around….ALWAYS.
So my thought for today is if you have even a modicum of common sense and you can combine that with a whole heap of bloody minded persistence, you are not going to be far away from success…
…even if it seems a million miles away at the moment.
On that thought, have yourself a great day and of course, do at least one thing to move your online business forward.
