Let me ask you, if you found yourself walking somewhere; to a friends, the pub or the shops, and you found a short cut that halved the time to get there, would you take it?
Of course you would.
The sooner you get to your destination, the sooner you can be doing what you want to do right?
Short cuts are a great way of getting where we want to be…
…only quicker.
So with this in mind, are you taking advantage of the ‘short cuts’ available to you online?
The ability to outsource, the purchase of traffic, the ability to pick up a complete sales funnel, plugins to automate processes etc, etc
The list of short cuts is almost endless, and more products or service becomes available every day to increase the short cuts available to us.
And yet we very often we tend to stick doggedly to our DIY approach.
Somehow using these short cuts or automation almost seems like cheating…
…not to mention they all tend to COST.
Therefore we keep our cash in our PayPal account.
And that IS one hell of a mistake.
If you are around this business for any length of time, you will come across people who have had really good ideas…
…and yet fall by the way side, all bitter and twisted about the whole online dream.
Why?
Because they tried to do it all themselves!
They weren’t going to hand their cash over to someone else when they knew they could do it themselves.
The trouble is, while they were spending days and month putting their sales funnel together or driving free traffic to their offer…
…THEY WEREN’T EARNING.
Eventually this lack of income can sap your motivation and you just think ‘sod it’, why should I put all this effort in for so little reward?
I know how this feels as I was one of those people who looked at the short term and saved my money trying to do it all myself.
Fortunately through a set variety of circumstances I was made to see the light before it was too late.
It’s all about leverage.
A little cash invested in the right areas can have a disproportionately positive effect on your business.
For example, when I realised I could take short cuts, I invested in a PLR sales funnel package (having just spent the best part of 5 months trying to write my own giveaway guide with about as much success as a horny hedgehog in a brush factory!!)
I spent a short time personalising it a little.
I then invested in a couple of solo ads.
I went from months and months and months of nothing, to creating a (small) list with a few sales within a few weeks.
It was nothing special, but importantly it showed me that there ARE effective short cuts out there.
The trick was that I stopped being so macho and self-sufficient and realised I didn’t have to do it all myself…
…I realised taking short cuts, was in fact clever and not somehow cheating.
So if you are finding yourself struggling and not finding the success you deserve have a look around and see what short cuts you could take to bring you closer to your success online.
