Right, REALITY check time!
You are REALLY up against it if you are just starting out and struggling to get a foothold in the wonderful online marketing world.
(I know I have been there)
You feel lower than a Munchkin’s ball sack and nobody gives you or your offerings a second look.
The competition is strong…or alternatively, it isn’t, because you have chosen a niche that no one gives a flying fig about.
Either way, it is easy to slip into self-pity mode, figuratively sucking your thumb and preparing your excuses.
So what is the answer?
How can you get the momentum that makes earning an income online so much easier?
The answer is…
Differentiate yourself from the masses
…be different
…be distinctive
In other words, do something to lift you above what everyone else and their dog are doing.
Of course, it is one thing me saying that, but I’m sure most of you reading it will be thinking ‘Yeh, that’s fine, but how the bloody hell do I ACTUALLY do that?!’
Well, the answer is so simple that many will overlook it and keep searching for the ‘magic loophole’.
The answer is YOU…
…or more accurately YOUR personality!
You are unique, so use that uniqueness in your online efforts.
Model what others do by all means (after all, why should you try to reinvent the wheel)
But just DON’T copy them.
They are not you and you are not them, so if you do try to copy them you will come across as fake…or possible worse, bland.
Ironically committing to being yourself can be difficult if you don’t believe in yourself yet.
But believe me, it is the easiest and most effective way of standing out from the vanilla hordes of individuals trying (and failing) to make it online.
There is nothing more appealing than someone who is genuine.
Yes at first it might feel like going out with nothing on.
You are frightened that if you expose yourself to others they might laugh or point.
(Or get out a magnifying glass, but that might just be a personal worry 🙂 )
To be honest it does take a little getting used to.
That is why you see so few marketers who are prepared to be themselves, which is great news for you because it ensures you will stick out even more (back to going out without your clothes on 🙂 ).
You become more and more multi-coloured in a sea of beige
Being yourself is the easiest way to build relationships and trust with those that come across you.
You build a rapport…
…and believe me, when you have a rapport people will fall over themselves to listen to you.
And if they will listen to you, they WILL buy from you.
Get over the embarrassment of being you in public and start building relationships and income online.
